2* WASHINGTON +7 over Boston
Celts with all the hype in the pre-season are over-rated to the line in the early going. Wiz already have a game under their belts. I still have questions about the Celtics defense and can see no way they will be able to stop Arenas tonight. Tough to quote trends with such a different team this year, but Celts are 14-32-1 ATS last 47 at home. This is also a road team series with the road team winning 17 of the last 21 ATS. Will grab the bushel of points here.
2* LA LAKERS +9.5 over Phoenix
Again, will be fading Phoenix here laying this much in the early going. They are now 30-71-3 ATS vs a less than .400 opp. Nash stated that he will take it easy in the early going not to run out of gas by the end of the year playing this style of ball. Kobe will keep being a one man show to try to get out of LA as fast as possible, so the Lakers should be able to score.
