NCAA Basketball starting 11/20

UCLA - didn't play game but UCLA is really good. Style of play though usually prevents them from covering big numbers. Keeping an eye on team going forward for play against spots.

Arizona St. - first game jitters, Sendak not as bad a coach as the team shown last year and then again last night. Program on the uptick, could be real nice home dogs later on in the year.

Syracuse - Didn't think they were as good as a lot of people think. Rick Jackson will be a monster at some point. Team will be better later on in the year than they are now.

UNLV - Slight downgrade. I would have been very happy with my play having Louisville at 66 before the game. Had the chances but couldn't get anything to fall.

Marquette - Very good. Slight upgrade.

Duke - Can't believe I am saying this, but Duke slightly underrated this year. Slight upgrade.

Butler - They are good.

Davidson - Didn't know much about Western Michigan but felt that the 25 ranking was a little too much.

Nothing like the Great Alaskan Shootout and watching College Hoops at 2:30 in the AM.

Ohio St. - how the frig do you miss 17 straight shots, shoot 27% and even be in the game down the stretch. If I had NC's stats before the game with them shooting 37% and 50% from the line, I would have unloaded even more. -16 on the boards in such a brick fest was a killer. Definitely wasn't a Thad Matta team type performance as he preaches aggressiveness around the net. Will be interesting to see how they react. Watching the game play out, Buckeyes had to feel they gave this one away.

St. Joe's - I feel they choked this one away tonight. They played aggressive ball around the rim all night, then went they got up 5 with 7 minutes left, they just all stood around the perimeter jacking up shots the rest of the way. Martelli is probably still got them in the locker room screaming at them.
