NO PLAY (Pass) - East Carolina vs. Boise St
Boise certainly has the fundamental edge in this game as they average 476.7 yards per game on the season at 6.3 yards per play against a schedule of teams that combine to allow just 5.8 yards per play. They should be able to move the ball against an East Carolina defense that has allowed 486.7 yards per game thsi season when playing away from home. However, the technical edge certainly lies with East Carolina as bowl dogs of +7 or more are 98-72-5 ATS (57.6%) since 1980, and this angle is already 2-0 ATS this season with both So Miss and Navy covering in this situation. What's more, after last year playing in a BCS bowl this is actually a big step down for Boise State so I wonder how they will react playing in the Hawaii Bowl, especially considering that they travel to the Island often to compete against their WAC rival. Too many unknowns here for me, so I will choose to pass this game in wait for more profitable situations later on.
